About me

I’ve always been jealous of people with a master plan for their life. The little kids who dream of being doctors, firefighters, or musicians who then grow up and actually achieve those dreams.  I never knew what I wanted to be as a child, and now I’m in my mid-thirties I’m still just as clueless. I always wanted to travel though…

Adventure novels, Attenborough documentaries, postcards on the fridge; these are the things that captured my young mind and filled it with dreams of far-flung places. As a boy I wanted to explore crumbling temples in the jungle, watch the Northern lights, and spot exotic beasts as they prowled in the wild. As a man I’ve spent the last ten years or so failing to find my vocation, but excelling in overblown vacations, and I’ve been lucky enough to have experienced those childhood dreams, and more besides.

This blog is a collection of reflections from those trips; months spent in Latin America, Asia, Europe and beyond. Wanderlust seems to grow stronger however much you feed it. Hopefully I’ll be adding to these stories for years to come.
